Carol Horwedel

I retired after 40 years of service in the IT Department for a large manufacturing company. I managed a group of programmers supporting in-house manufacturing systems, led an IT group with acquisitions, and worked with users at many locations. After I retired, I volunteered for three organizations: Playhouse Square as a Red Coat volunteer, Animal Protective League in Elyria – where I exercised dogs and worked at their adoption and fundraising events, and Community Care Center – where I helped the seniors in my hometown and helped with food collection and distribution.
After moving to Florida, I currently volunteer at Community Co-operative, where I help prepare the meals for Meals on Wheels program or assist in delivering the meals to seniors, and Tiny Showers Charity, where I am an active volunteer where I canvas for donations for fundraising events, help deliver items to infants in need, and do other miscellaneous tasks as needed.
